Disclosure Text Regarding Personal Data

As Tipi Mobilya A.Ş. (“Coastal Homes”), we have prepared this disclosure text to inform our visitors, online visitors, customers, potential customers, supplier employees, and supplier representatives regarding the processing, storage, and transfer of your personal data within the framework of the activities stemming from the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”), the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), and related legislation and legal regulations.

1) What Categories of Personal Data Do We Process, and For What Purposes Do We Process Them?

Your personal data may be processed by Tipi Mobilya A.Ş. in compliance with the principles set out in Article 4.2 of the KVKK, including but not limited to the principles of lawfulness, fairness, accuracy, being up-to-date when necessary, processing for specific, explicit, and legitimate purposes, relevance, limitation, proportionality to the purposes of processing, and retention for the duration required by relevant legislation or for the purposes of processing. These data may be processed within the scope of our ongoing and established business relationships with our partners for the purposes outlined below (an individual may fall under multiple categories).

A. Our Visitors

The identity information of our visitors (e.g., name, surname, Turkish ID number, place, and date of birth) will be processed for the purpose of creating and maintaining visitor records.

B. Our Online Visitors

The transaction security information (e.g., your IP address), marketing information (e.g., shopping history, cookie records), and, if provided to us, your identity and contact information (e.g., email address, physical address, phone number) will be processed for purposes such as ensuring compliance with legislation, managing information security processes, tracking requests/complaints, conducting communication activities, providing information to authorized persons, institutions, and organizations, and enabling access to our website via the internet.

C. Our Customers

The identity information, contact information, customer transaction information (e.g., order details), financial information (e.g., balance sheet data), legal transaction information, and marketing information (e.g., shopping history) of our individual customers or the representatives/employees of our corporate customers will be processed for purposes such as ensuring compliance with legislation, conducting financial and accounting operations, managing/inspecting business activities, conducting logistics activities, providing after-sales support services, managing sales processes, conducting marketing analysis studies, managing contract processes, providing information to authorized persons, institutions, and organizations, resolving legal disputes, conducting storage and archiving activities, managing risk processes, conducting advertising/campaign/promotion processes, sending commercial electronic messages, managing loyalty processes for company/products/services, and conducting communication activities.

D. Our Potential Customers

The identity information, contact information, customer transaction information, and marketing information of our individual potential customers or the representatives/employees of our corporate potential customers will be processed for purposes such as managing sales processes, conducting contract processes, conducting advertising/campaign/promotion processes, sending commercial electronic messages, and conducting marketing analysis studies.

E. Our Business Partners

The identity information, contact information, dealership transaction information (e.g., order details), financial information (e.g., balance sheet data), legal transaction information, and marketing information (e.g., shopping history) of our individual or corporate business partners or their representatives/employees will be processed for purposes such as ensuring compliance with legislation, conducting financial and accounting operations, managing/inspecting business activities, conducting logistics activities, providing after-sales support services, managing sales processes, conducting marketing analysis studies, managing contract processes, providing information to authorized persons, institutions, and organizations, resolving legal disputes, conducting storage and archiving activities, managing risk processes, conducting advertising/campaign/promotion processes, sending commercial electronic messages, managing end-user service processes, and conducting communication activities.

F. Our Supplier Employees

The identity information, contact information, and professional experience information (e.g., in-service training information) of our supplier employees will be processed for purposes such as conducting communication activities, managing/inspecting business activities, managing supply chain processes, conducting logistics activities, ensuring compliance with legislation, and conducting occupational health/safety activities.

G. Our Supplier Representatives

The identity information, contact information, customer transaction information, financial information, marketing information, and legal transaction information of our individual or corporate supplier representatives will be processed for purposes such as managing/inspecting business activities, managing goods/services procurement processes, conducting financial and accounting operations, managing contract processes, managing investment processes, and following and conducting legal proceedings.

2) What Are the Methods for Collecting Your Personal Data?

Your personal data, categorized above, is collected through physical means such as order forms, contracts, visitor forms, or through information systems and electronic devices (e.g., telecommunication infrastructure, computers, and phones), third parties, our website, and other documents declared by the relevant person, either through automated or non-automated methods.

3) How Long Do We Retain Your Personal Data

Your personal data, categorized above, is stored for the period specified in the relevant legislation, if any, or for as long as our legitimate interests persist, based on the following criteria:

  1. Coastal Homes applications
  2. Applicable commercial practices
  3. Statutory limitation periods stipulated in relevant legislation

At the end of these periods, stored personal data is deleted, destroyed, or anonymized.

4) What Is the Legal Basis for Collecting Your Personal Data

Your personal data is processed by Tipi Mobilya A.Ş. in accordance with Article 5 of the KVKK to achieve the purposes described above, based on the following legal grounds:

  1. The explicit stipulation of processing in laws.
  2. The necessity of processing personal data directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract.
  3. The necessity of processing data to fulfill the legal obligations of the data controller.
  4. The necessity of processing data to establish, exercise, or protect a right.
  5. The necessity of processing data for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject.

The identity and contact information of our business partners, customers, and potential customers will also be processed based on their explicit consent for purposes such as advertising, campaigns, promotions, and the sending of commercial electronic messages. You always have the right to withdraw your consent or request the cessation of such activities.
If you no longer wish to be contacted for advertising, campaigns, promotions, or commercial electronic messages, you can use your right to cancel through the contact information you have shared with us.

5) Do We Transfer Your Personal Data to Third Parties

  • Personal data belonging to our visitors may be shared with law enforcement and judicial authorities for the resolution of legal disputes and as required by relevant legislation.
  • Personal data belonging to our online visitors may be shared with judicial authorities and authorized public institutions and organizations for the resolution of legal disputes and as required by relevant legislation.
  • Personal data belonging to our customers may be shared with authorized public institutions and organizations within the scope of legal regulations for purposes such as the tracking and execution of legal processes, compliance with legal obligations, and providing information to authorized persons, institutions, and organizations. It may also be shared with group companies, business partners, cargo companies, suppliers, banks, and our financial advisor to the extent necessary for the execution/inspection of business activities, risk management processes, and the proper performance of our services. Furthermore, such data may be transferred to the law firm we work with and judicial authorities as evidence for future legal disputes.
  • Personal data belonging to potential customers may be shared with our business partners to the extent necessary for the proper performance of our services and with the law firm we work with and judicial authorities as evidence for future legal disputes.
  • Personal data belonging to our business partners may be shared with authorized public institutions and organizations within the scope of legal regulations for purposes such as compliance with legal obligations, tracking and execution of legal processes, and providing information to authorized persons, institutions, and organizations. It may also be shared with group companies, business partners, cargo companies, suppliers, banks, and our financial advisor to the extent necessary for the proper performance of our services. Furthermore, such data may be transferred to the law firm we work with and judicial authorities as evidence for future legal disputes.
  • Personal data belonging to supplier employees may be shared with authorized public institutions and organizations within the scope of legal regulations for purposes such as compliance with legal obligations, tracking and execution of legal processes, and the execution/inspection of business activities. It may also be shared with group companies, cargo companies, suppliers, our financial advisory office, and banks to the extent necessary for the proper performance of the service. Furthermore, such data may be transferred to the law firm we work with and judicial authorities as evidence for future legal disputes.
  • Personal data belonging to supplier representatives may be shared with authorized public institutions and organizations within the scope of legal regulations for purposes such as compliance with legal obligations, tracking and execution of legal processes, and the execution/inspection of business activities. It may also be shared with group companies, suppliers, cargo companies, banks, and our financial advisor to the extent necessary for the proper performance of the service. Furthermore, such data may be transferred to the law firm we work with and judicial authorities as evidence for future legal disputes.

6) Do We Transfer Your Personal Data Abroad?

Based on the rules under Article 9 of the KVKK, your personal data may be shared with third parties abroad, including our business partners/suppliers.

7) How Can You Exercise Your Rights Regarding Your Personal Data

Right to Rectification: If you believe any of your personal data is incorrect, you have the right to request its correction from our company. You also have the right to request the completion of any incomplete personal data.
Right to Access: You have the right to request a copy of your personal data from our company. A fee may be charged for this activity.
Right to Withdraw Consent: You have the right to withdraw your explicit consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
Right to Erasure: In certain cases, you have the right to request the deletion of your personal data.
Right to Data Portability: In certain cases, you have the right to request that your personal data be transferred to another organization or directly to you.
Right to Restrict Processing: In certain cases, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
Right to Object to Processing: In certain cases, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data.
Right to Lodge a Complaint with a Supervisory Authority: If you believe that we have processed your personal data in violation of applicable data protection guidelines, you have the right to file a complaint with the competent regulatory authority, particularly in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work, or where the alleged violation occurred, if you reside in the European Union.

You can submit your requests regarding the rights mentioned above and the rights stipulated under Article 11 of the KVKK through the “Application Form to the Data Controller” provided for your convenience at http://www.coastalhomes.com.tr in accordance with the “Communiqué on the Principles and Procedures for Application to the Data Controller.”
